Château de Chevigny-en-Valière
This privately owned château located shortly outside of Beaune is a true Folie Bourguignonne. Layered with architectural styles and rich with stories of past proprietors, a visit to the château is a discovery in itself even for Burgundians. A highlight for many is the theatre wing’s marble stairwell designed by Charles Garnier, Parisian architect of L’Opéra Garnier. The property is owned by Boërl & Kroff producer Stéphane Sésé who has become a dedicated steward of the land, history, and interiors of this eclectic space.
Résidence Moyne-Blandin, 67 Pall Mall
A neo-classical facade in the heart of Beaune, this grade-listed townhouse was built in the 18th century by Louis Moyne for his beloved wife. Perched on the Bastion Bretonnière, Résidence Moyne-Blandin was recently acquired by the first international private club dedicated to wine, 67 Pall Mall, which has outposts across the globe from London to Verbier to Singapore. Artworks are exhibited across three stories in this building steeped in history.
La Maison de Pommard
Thoughtfully renovated over a period of seven years by Isabelle de Montille with Paris-based Italian architect Emanuele Salini, La Maison de Pommard was originally the home of Isabelle’s father, revered winemaker Hubert de Montille. The converted boutique hotel is a culturally significant gem in Burgundy with its restored ancient stone walls and raw wooden beams in harmony with minimalist, modern design elements.
